In line with putting our values in action, a notable initiative was the "Delivering WOW for a Sustainable Future," where our team embarked on an Epic Scavenger Hunt navigating the city via public transportation. This innovative approach not only accomplished specific tasks but also reduced carbon footprints. On the “Efficient Wins” value, in just four days, our team embarked on a mission to transform 1775 Lego pieces into a moving Lego model of a super hybrid hyper-car with the objectives to achieve efficiency through completing a mission within a team on a tight deadline.
Under the theme of "Stay Healthy," our team enjoyed a cycling day at Putrajaya Wetland Park. Additionally, engaging sessions on innovative products related to sustainable buildings, green roof applications, and dynamic lux simulation for effective landscape design further exemplified our commitment to "Always Learning." The visit to Crystal Safety Glass in Klang expanded our knowledge of sustainable practices and our "Build Relationship" day with organised activities at the head office fostered deeper connections among colleagues.
On the community front, Green Quarter had the privilege of visiting the Trinity Community Children Home in Petaling Jaya with the aim was to impart positive “Faith Driven” values and inspire children and teenagers on their life journey and creating awareness on the topic of green sustainability.
The pinnacle of our green initiatives was the “Tree Planting Volunteering” event in Kuala Langat North Reserve Forest. This event marks our long-term commitment to environmental restoration, witnessed the planting of 145 indigenous trees, representing 16 diverse species from GQ's regions. GQ proudly contributed around 90-100 saplings, including species like Tree Kangaroo, Pulai, and Ketapang Paya, playing a vital role in the forest's rejuvenation. With 720 trees planted, this event significantly contributed to the overall sustainability of the planet.
